How might we help metering providers effectively address challenges such as data accessibility, lack of standardization, and inefficient processes?

This Situation offers Business Opportunities to Address Data Accessibility and Standardization Challenges of Metering Providers.

The QUNDIS Smart Metering Platform is the next step to fully automating remote meter readout operations. To address the challenges metering providers face, the proposed solution is a comprehensive web application designed to streamline and automate the readout, data consumption, control, and monitoring of measuring devices. This application will leverage modern technologies to ensure efficient, scalable, and user-friendly data management.

Research

Requirements Workshop

The Product team comprised the Scrum master, the product owner, and the UX Designer. At the beginning of the project, we held a workshop to define the three main functionalities of the application and prioritized them in user stories for the product backlog.

During the early stage of the product discovery, I conducted interviews with the business stakeholders and potential users in Hamburg to understand and define the needs and requirements of the users.

Web Application for Measuring Devices

The objective was to develop a web application to streamline the remote readout, data consumption, control, and monitoring of measuring devices for metering providers, ensuring standardized, automated, and efficient data management.

Key design patterns and components were used for designing the dashboard, based on Material Design UI principles


UI Styleguide & Visual Branding

The Corporate Design of QUNDIS included Logo, Colours and Fonts. This served as a template for creating a high-impact Design Style Guide for the QSMP platform. Within the scope of the project, I created a cohesive UI Style Guide which included Color palettes, Responsive Design, Buttons and additional UI Components for the Smart Metering Platform.
